Perez/Nguyen Wedding

This couple was such a great couple to work with! It was great seeing two cultures collide in this wedding. You saw a lot of the Vietnamese influences and the Mexican influences. Their wedding was beautiful and simple. The ceremony was a small catholic ceremony in Westminster, California and the Reception was done at Royal restaurant in Westminster also. Royal is a nicer banquet/restaurant venue I've seen in the Westminster area.

Ken was my second shooter. These shots are a mixture of both our shots. He is usually my right hand man when shooting weddings.

Hair: Gwen Tran
Makeup: Anha Nguyen
Second Shooter: Ken Pfeifer

Lets start with the smaller details.. Here is the beautiful dress which, i thought, matched her flowers and personality perfectly! Ken shot the details since I was busy doing her makeup. Thank goodness for second shooters huh?

Isn't this hair amazing? The talented Gwen Tran created this. Too bad she is leaving to Hawaii soon :(

Here is where you see a little bit of the Vietnamese influences in the wedding. The Bride and groom walk around and greet each table wearing the traditional wear called an Ao Dai. At the reception most usuallt wear the western outfits (wedding dress and suit) and then change into the Vietnamese outfits.

The Brides uncles played the guitar and saxophone while they did the cake cutting. I love her uncles pose while playing!

Right after they cut the cake I was surprised when they didn't smash the cake in each others faces but when seeing him try to put a little cake on her nose and seeing her face, I no understood why they didn't haha.
